SMS Messaging Terms & Opt-In

Recaptra (operated by UpTechBiz Solutions Inc) sends SMS text messages for two purposes: (1) helping business owners set up and manage their Recaptra account (“Account & Onboarding” messages), and (2) on behalf of a Recaptra business, texting back a customer who called that business but didn’t reach anyone (“Missed-Call Recovery” messages). This page explains how you consent to receive those messages and how to stop them.

1. How you opt in (consent)

Business owners — Account & Onboarding messages

You consent to receive recurring automated SMS from Recaptra when you take any of these actions:

  • Text to start. You text the keyword START to Recaptra’s published number (234) 540-2468 to begin setting up your account. By sending that message, you agree to receive recurring automated account and onboarding texts at that number.
  • Sign-up form. You enter your mobile number and check the SMS consent box on our sign-up form (see the exact consent language below). The box is unchecked by default and is optional.
  • Assisted sign-up. You give your mobile number to a Recaptra representative and agree to receive setup texts after being shown the consent language below.
Consent language shown at opt-in:
“By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Recaptra about account setup, onboarding, and service notifications at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.”

End customers — Missed-Call Recovery messages

If you call a business that uses Recaptra and no one is able to answer, Recaptra may text you back on that business’s behalf to help you book or answer your question. Your consent is established when you contact the business, and the business displays notice (e.g., at their front desk, on their website, or in their intake materials) that an automated text-back service is used. Every such message identifies the business and includes opt-out instructions. Reply STOP at any time to stop these messages.

2. Messages you’ll receive

  • Account & Onboarding: setup prompts, confirmation, activation, and account/service notifications.
  • Missed-Call Recovery: a text-back after a missed call, and the conversation that follows to help you book or get an answer.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity (for example, how many questions you answer during setup, or the course of a recovery conversation).

4. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, according to the rate plan you have with your mobile carrier. Recaptra does not charge you for the text messages themselves.

5. HELP — get support

Reply HELP to any message to receive support information, or contact us at support@recaptra.com.

6. STOP — opt out at any time

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages from that program. Opt-out is honored immediately and checked before every message we send.

7. Your consent data is never shared

Recaptra does not sell or share your mobile opt-in information, phone number, or SMS consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with anyone. Information is used only to operate the messaging program described above, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

8. Supported carriers & delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier and device. This program is intended for recipients in the United States.
